The Georgia Bulldogs have already received a verbal commitment from four-star tight end Lincoln Keyes in the 2026 recruiting class. But the Bulldogs remain the favorite to land two more highly regarded tight ends in the same class.
Rivals' Adam Gorney predicted Thursday that the Bulldogs will sign five-star and No. 1 tight end Mark Bowman along with four-star recruit Kaiden Prothro.
"The Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei standout just returned from a trip to Ole Miss and while he has family connections to coach Lane Kiffin and the Rebels’ offense suits him, this still feels like a long shot," wrote Gorney.
"Bowman is not visiting Miami this weekend as had been planned (and could be rescheduled) with Oregon, Ohio State, USC, Georgia and Texas in his top group. From early on, Georgia has set the pace in Bowman’s recruitment and that has not changed. USC could be making an interesting move but the Bulldogs are the frontrunner."
Gorney sees the Bulldogs as the favorites for Prothro as well because they plan to have Prothro play more of an outside receiver role.
"The UGA coaching staff is pitching to Prothro not a traditional tight end role but bringing him in as a bigger pass catcher – possibly on the outside – and with his size and athleticism, it’s a role that could definitely suit him," wrote Gorney.
"Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Texas are the top five for the Bowdon, Ga., standout and the Tigers could be the biggest threat (although there is serious intrigue in the Gators and Longhorns, too) and visits will be important in the coming weeks. But the Bulldogs might still hold the edge."

If Georgia lands both Bowman and Prothro, the Bulldogs would have three top 15 tight ends in the 2026 recruiting class.
Rivals and 247 Sports consider Prothro a four-star prospect, but the 247 Sports composite rankings have Prothro as a five-star recruit.
Based on the 247 Sports composite rankings, Prothro is the No. 3 tight end while Keyes is rated No. 14 at the position in the 2026 class. Bowman is the consensus top tight end for 2026.
