The Miami Hurricanes made a massive transfer portal addition on Friday.
Miami added former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, the top player overall in the portal. After the commitment, Miami's transfer portal class is now the best in the ACC and fourth overall.
The Hurricanes addressed a significant need via the portal as Cam Ward is heading to the 2025 NFL draft. Ward accounted for 4,313 passing yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Miami also has transfer commitments from the likes of former TCU inside offensive lineman James Brockermeyer, former Washington State corner Ethan O'Conner, former Michigan State defensive back Charles Brantley and former LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels.

Beck was the top player and quarterback in the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Rankings. He initially declared for the 2025 NFL draft on Dec. 28 but changed his mind and entered the portal on Jan. 9.
Beck was a former four-star quarterback in the 2020 class.
He became Georgia's starter after Stetson Bennett left following the 2022 season. Since then, Beck has started every game for the Bulldogs over the last two seasons.
As a starter at Georgia, Beck had 7,426 passing yards, 52 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
Beck helped lead Georgia to the SEC Championship Game against Texas this season. However, things turned for the worse when Beck was injured on a hail-mary attempt just before halftime.
Beck was blindsided by a Texas pass rusher and suffered a right elbow injury that ended his season. Backup quarterback Gunnar Stockton led the Bulldogs to a 22-19 win in overtime to claim the SEC title.
Stockton then started the following game in the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame, but Georgia lost 23-10.
Miami ended the season at 10-3 after losing to Iowa State 42-41 in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
