How Much Does Arkansas Owe Deke Adams? All About Fired Defensive Coordinator’s 2025 Buyout

The college football job market is treading on a tight rope presently. Week 5 passed by with its own set of victories and upsets, and the Arkansas head coach is facing the brunt. After the circuit witnessed the firing of four head coaches, including Sam Pittman. The Razorbacks face another shock. Following a 2-3 season and the heartbreaking loss to Notre Dame, the program has fired several coaches, including DL coach Deke Adams.

“Sources: Arkansas has dismissed DC Travis Williams, DL coach Deke Adams, and CO-DC Marcus Woodson. Bobby Petrino has begun a staff overhaul,” Pete Thamel wrote on X.

Back in March this year, Adams had signed a contract extension with the program, stretching on till 2026. As per the new details, the contract includes a built-in pay raise for regular season wins in the 2025 season. At the time of his firing, his contract stood at $462,500 per year, an increase of $12,500 from his last contract. So, if the roster had won 7 regular games, the coach would have received $100,000, $150,000 for eight wins, and $200,000 for nine or more wins.

But the 2-3 record blues have set in and Arkansas is witnessing a coaching roster haul.
