Auburn football’s quarterback, Jackson Arnold said the hate for Alabama at Auburn is evident.
Arnold is no stranger to intense college football rivalries. He participated in the Red River Rivalry at Oklahoma before transferring to Auburn.
The Tigers’ quarterback has quickly learned the hate for Alabama runs deep within the Auburn facilities.
“We even have a rule that you can’t wear red in our facility at all,” Arnold told reporters at SEC Media Days. “If you do, you lose points and have to do up-downs and stuff.”
Arnold compared the Iron Bowl to the Red River Rivalry in terms of how intense it is on both sides.
“OU, Texas there is a lot of hate,” Arnold said. “But I feel like the people here can not stand Alabama. It’s unbelievable. OU, Texas is very similar. It’s not far off. I feel like those two rivalries are probably the two best rivalries in college football. I feel like if you mention Alabama here, they’ll look at you funny.”
Alabama will look to get revenge on Arnold at Auburn when the Tide takes on the Tigers in November after Arnold defeated Alabama as the Sooners quarterback in 2024.
