James Franklin’s First Post After Penn State Loss Causes Uproar

On Sunday, Franklin took to X with his first post since the stunning loss.

"Game Week! Let’s do this TOGETHER & go 1-0, Nittany Nation. Northwestern, Northwestern, Northwestern!!! #WeAre," Franklin wrote.

However, Penn State fans and college football fans weren't too thrilled with this message.

"James. I just can't," one user wrote.

"He’s still here," the Barstool Penn State account wrote.

"Oh honey no," another fan said. "This should not have gone out. Know it’s different than the normal one, but they have to read the room. Nobody wants to hear this right now," a Penn State alum wrote.

"Read the room pal," said another. "No way he tweeted this. Tell the account admin to read the room," another said. "The man has no shame," another stated.

Franklin sends this tweet every week on Sunday of the game week, so it is a regular post.

However, this time, fans took it much differently, especially after an inexcusable loss against a team with an interim head coach and an interim offensive coordinator.

For now, Franklin and Penn State are focused on Northwestern, but one can only imagine what will happen in Happy Valley if Penn State loses that one.
