Few players have been a better match for a school as a transfer than Joe Burrow and LSU.
Burrow came in as a grad transfer prior to last season and gave the Tigers the piece they had been missing for years — a talented quarterback. Last year LSU went 10-3. This year the Tigers opened up their offense and have gone 12-0.
On Saturday, it was Senior Night for LSU’s players. Burrow celebrated the occasion by wearing the Cajun version of his last name on the back of his jersey as he ran onto the field to be honored before the game. His jersey said “Burreaux” on the back.

Burrow had the idea to wear that name on his jersey and got approval from Ed Orgeron.
Joe Burrow asked Ed Orgeron if he could wear the jersey with the Cajun version of his name. Orgeron says he told him, “HELL YEAH.” #LSU

The jersey was a big hit.
A year after losing to Texas A&M, LSU got revenge with a dominating 50-7 win. Burrow threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns. Coach Orgeron even called a timeout late to give Burrow a chance to get a proper sendoff from the LSU fans.
