Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava wasn't the only UT player to suffer an injury during the win against the Mississippi State Bulldogs this past weekend.
Vols wide receiver Dont'e Thornton also left Tennessee's win against Mississippi State on Saturday with an "upper body injury".
On Monday, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel was asked about Thornton's status for the Vols' upcoming road game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
“Yeah, I feel like Dont’e will be ready to go in this one too," said Heupel on Monday during his weekly press conference. "But you can monitor the injury report. It starts on Wednesday.”

It looks like we'll know more about Thornton's status on Wednesday evening when the first SEC injury report of the week is released. But it sounds like Heupel is at least optimistic that Thornton will be able to play against Georgia.
And that's a big deal for the Vols. Thornton has been Tennessee's best receiver this season. The former Oregon wide receiver currently leads the Vols in receiving with 505 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns (Thornton's 20 receptions are fourth on the team, behind Bru McCoy, Squirrel White, and Chris Brazzell).
Tennessee and Georgia are set to kick off at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday night in Athens.
