2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report and Film Analysis of Kansas Offensive Tackle Logan Brown

Measurables:

Height- 6’6″

Weight- 311 lbs

Player Background:

Brown was a superstar high school athlete at East Kentwood High School in Michigan. He won consecutive state championships in shot put as a sophomore and junior. Brown also competed at the New Balance Nationals as a junior and senior where he finished eighth place and tenth place in the shot put. On the football field, Brown was one of the best high school players in the country. He was a five-star recruit, the No. 7 ranked overall recruit in the nation, and the No. 1 ranked offensive tackle prospect in the entire 2019 recruiting class, ahead of current NFL starters like Charles Cross and Darnell Wright.

Brown redshirted as a freshman at Wisconsin and appeared in all seven games of his redshirt freshman season in 2020. He made his first start for the Badgers in 2022. Brown transferred to Kansas in 2023 and became a full-time starter for the Jayhawks in 2024. He earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors and was a Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year honorable mention.

Strengths:

Brown has good size and arm length, standing over 6-foot-6, and has a nearly 34-inch arm length. He is an explosive athlete with good mobility and impressive lateral agility. Brown recorded the third best relative athletic score by an offensive tackle in the 2025 draft class at the combine. He has quick feet and moves well to the second level where he does a good job picking off linebackers and blocks with great aggression.

He explodes out of his stance and has good mirror skills in pass protection. Brown allowed zero sacks in 2024, and was the tenth-best 2025 NFL Draft offensive tackle by pressure rate allowed in 2024, according to PFF. He has heavy hands, good hand placement, great grip strength, and a powerful punch. While Brown played only right tackle at Kansas, he has shown positional versatility with some snaps at left tackle during his college career and played on the left side of the line at the Senior Bowl.

Weaknesses:

Brown lacks great knee bend, and plays with high pad level. He is an older prospect with just one year of full-time starting experience, and 14 total starts during his college career. Brown’s lack of starting experience shows at times with some inconsistencies in his play and unrefined technique.

Brown has some trouble handling stunts and twists, and needs to be quicker in processing stunts and twists. Brown also had some issues with penalties recording five penalties in 2024. He suffered a few injuries throughout his college career including shoulder and biceps injuries in 2019, and a season-ending injury after just two games in 2023.

Potential Team Fits:

Dallas Cowboys

Kansas City Chiefs

Green Bay Packers

NFL Projection:

Brown has a lot of potential as a former highly ranked high school recruit with a ton of traits and athletic upside. He shows a lot of flashes on film and overall was very good as a full-time starter in 2024 for the Jayhawks. Experienced and more technically sound pass rushers could give him some trouble early in his career, and he will need to improve his processing and anticipation. He might end up being a quality developmental depth player early in his career. However, with his size, powerful hands, and movement skills he has the potential to grow into a very good starter in the NFL.

Prospect Grade:

Third Round
