As the college football regular season winds down, Carson Beck and the No. 15 Miami Hurricanes are looking to strengthen their case to sneak into the College Football Playoff.

The Hurricanes dominated North Carolina State this past Saturday, pulling off a 41-7 victory in what may have been one of Beck's best showings this year. The Georgia transfer completed 21-of-27 passes for 291 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. It marked the team's second straight win after its heartbreaking overtime loss to SMU on Nov. 1, with the Hurricanes having won its past two games by an average margin of 31 points.

Beck's strong Week 12 outing not helped Miami position itself to be within striking distance of being in the top 12 of TUesday's rankings, but it also led to him earning player of the week recognition.

The Hurricanes took to X to share that Beck was named the East-West Shrine Bowl's "Monday Morning QB."

"Your East-West Shrine Bowl Monday Morning QB: Carson Beck! ," wrote Miami on X.

Considering Beck had hit a rough patch in late October and early November, Miami fans have to be pleased with his performance of late. In the team's two most recent games, he has completed 39-of-51 (76%) passes, while throwing four touchdowns to no interceptions.

He and Miami (8-2) will look to keep their hot streak alive on Saturday as they take on Virginia Tech (3-7). The game kicks at noon ET and will air on ESPN.
