Maybe they felt left out, given all of the big uniform announcements happening around town recently, but after six years, the Minnesota Gophers football program unveiled new threads of their own on Friday, as they gear up for the upcoming 2024 season.
Designed by Nike, these fresh new unis feature a clean and simple look that incorporates some stripes and multiple different color options. This morning, a video posted on the football team’s social medias revealed the jerseys, pants and helmet combinations (photos below).

The updated look includes a couple simple, yet stylish, stripes on the outside shoulders and numbers on top. The pants have a full two-toned stripe running down the outside of each pant leg.
These new Minnesota Gophers uniforms strike a great balance between classic and modern, offering a definite upgrade without going overboard. They look fresh and clean.
So far, the fans seem to be on board with the changes, though some are curious whether the chrome helmet is now off the table, given it is not included in any of the provided color combinations.
In other exciting news, the highly anticipated EA Sports College Football video game is launching next month and it’s been confirmed that the game will include these new threads.
