Coming off a solid season at FSU, Mycah Pittman was one of Utah's most promising transfer portal acquisitions. However, after two seasons with the program, the brother of NFL star Michael Pittman hasn't panned out the way fans had hoped.
After a disappointing first season with the Utes that was cut short due to an injury, Pittman had a promising spring and fall camp which saw him come out as one of the best wide receivers in the room, leading many to believe that the 2024 campaign would be his best.
Now, nine games into the season, Pittman has officially left the program which sparked a plethora of rumors, especially since his track record with past teams isn't the best.
However, in response to the rumors, Pittman released a video clearing up the air, explaining the reasoning behind and the timeline leading up to his departure.
"I got pretty banged up with an injury that should take 8-12 weeks to heal, but I came back and put my body on the line to play," Pittman said. "I needed Toradol to play, but it had too many adverse side effects."
During his career with the Utes, Pittman tallied nine receptions for 70 receiving yards while also racking up 78 punt-returning yards on 13 attempts.
Pittman expressed his gratitude to Utah and his thankfulness for the time he spent with the program, and was met with a positive reception from the Utah faithful in the comments and well wishes for his future endeavors.
