The Georgia Bulldogs welcomed five-star running back Savion Hiter, the nation's top-ranked rusher in the 2026 class, for an official visit this past weekend.
And it appears it was a successful weekend for Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and his recruiting staff following Hiter's reaction.
"Thank you @GeorgiaFootball for having my family and I this weekend. How ‘bout them dawgs #GoDawgs, " Hiter wrote on social media with some pictures from the weekend.

Hiter, a standout from Louisa County High School in Virginia, is a major focus for Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class. His trip to Athens came during a jam-packed recruiting weekend, where the Bulldogs hosted 18 official visitors, including numerous top-100 prospects
Hiter has openly praised Georgia’s track record of producing elite running backs and its strong academics. However, he still has official visits lined up with Michigan on June 13 and Tennessee on June 20, following a recent official trip to Ohio State.
Although recent buzz claimed Hiter had narrowed his choices to just two programs, he has firmly dismissed that talk, and Georgia remains very much in the running
Hiter is a five-star running back who ranks as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Virginia and No. 21 overall prospect in his recruiting class.
He finished his 2024 junior season at Louisa County High School rushing for 1,060 yards on 150 carries, averaging 117 yards per game.
Georgia currently boasts the nation’s No. 6 recruiting class and has 12 players committed to their recruiting class of 2026:
