Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban still as busy as he's ever been despite no longer being the top man in charge in Tuscaloosa. Between his imminent future as co-chair of the college football commission, ESPN role, and playing golf, Saban is living a good life.

His incumbent, Kalen DeBoer, is working hard to craft his own path at Alabama. Coming off a 9-4 season where a lot went wrong as the year progressed, there's skepticism as to whether he's the right fit.

Saban was asked what he thinks the Tide will do in 2025 before playing at the Drummond Company Celebrity Pro-Am at the Regions Tradition golf tournament at the Greystone Country Club in Hoover.

"I don't really have an expectation," Saban said. "I know those guys are working hard to be the best they can. It was a difficult transition with the number of players that moved. New system, new people, players in the organization had to make adjustments. I would say that everybody's probably a little more settled in this year. And I hope they do extremely well."

It was the first season Alabama failed to reach 10 wins in 17 years, so Tide fans are right to be concerned about where this is heading.

However, Saban has been complimentary of DeBoer, and his quote builds in some benefit of the doubt. We'll see if he's still singing that tune if this fall doesn't see improvement in the win column.
