The Indiana Hoosiers have went into Oregon and handed the Ducks there first loss of the season. Its comes as no surprise after what Curt Cignnetti has done to change the culture of this program! It was an absolute team effort for the Hoosiers to come out on top. Fernando Mendoza was great with keeping the Hoosiers offense moving up and down the field. It would be Eligiah Sarratt on the receiving end of Mendoza passes let’s dive into the stats.

The Indiana Hoosiers Offense Stole The Show!

When I say offense I mean offensive run game with running back Roman Hemby rushing for 70 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns. Also Kaelon Black and Fernando Mendoza both added 31 yards on the ground as well.

The passing game was also showing out as well on Saturday with Mendoza completing 20 of 31 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown with one interception as well. It would be Eligiah Sarratt or the receiving end of right of those passes for 121 yards and a touchdown basically just torching the Ducks secondary in Eugene.

It will go down as a historical win for the Indiana Hoosiers football team with a 30 to 20 win over the third ranked team of the country! After the College Football Playoff birth last season and then this win which is only the second time in Indiana Football history win they have beaten a AP Top Five opponent.

This is the type of win that will set the tone for the rest of the season. It was a total team effort to be able to go on the road and pick up a ten point win like that.
