Jeremiyah Love and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished the season 10-2.
They dropped their first two games to Miami and Texas A&M, then went on to win the next 10.
Unfortunately for them, they were snubbed out of the College Football Playoff by one spot and decided not to partake in a bowl game afterward.
Love still had himself a season to remember. He rushed 199 times for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns.
He also earned himself a spot in New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist. He finished in third place behind Indiana's Fernando Mendoza and Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia.
Love's recognition didn't stop there. He won the Doak Walker Award and the Disney Spirit Award.
On Monday, he was named to the Associated Press First-Team All-American squad.
After the news was released, Notre Dame shared it on social media.
"LOVEly," Notre Dame said. "Jeremiyah Love has been named an Associated Press First-Team All-American."

He is a 6-foot, 214-pound running back out of St. Louis, Missouri.
Love is expected to be on of the top running backs taken in next April's NFL draft.
