Notre Dame Offense Ranked Top 10 Nationally By Pro Football Focus
Kirby Lee, USA TODAY Sports

Notre Dame will look to make another run to the national championship game in 2025, but for that to the happen the Irish offense must continue improving. Notre Dame has shown progress in recent seasons but another step is needed in year two of the Mike Denbrock era. There's at least one believer, as Pro Football Focus believes the Irish will be one of the nation's best offenses.

Pro Football Focus ranked its Top 10 offenses in college football, and the Notre Dame offense ranked No. 7 on that list.

"The Fighting Irish’s rushing attack powered the team to the national title game last year, and it should remain a major strength in 2025. Notre Dame has the best running back in America and a top-five overall player in the country in Jeremiyah Love, along with great depth behind him. A top-10 offensive line and a top-10 receiving corps also reside in South Bend. The only real question is under center, but redshirt freshman CJ Carr was the No. 6 quarterback recruit in the 2024 class." - Pro Football Focus

Carr is the big question mark for many national outlets, and it's understanding. The talented young quarterback has yet to throw a collegiate pass, and he hasn't even won the starting job yet. But Carr is a talented young quarterback, as is Kenny Minchey, the player that is also battling for the starting job. Notre Dame won't have experience at quarterback in 2025, but no matter who wins that battle the Irish will have a talented player at the position.

Outside of quarterback Notre Dame returns a very talented and experienced offensive unit. Running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price combined for 2,118 yards of offense (rushing and receiving) and 26 touchdowns. Transfer receivers Malachi Fields (Virginia) and Will Pauling (Wisconsin) both have seasons of over 800 yards, and Jaden Greathouse is poised for a breakout season.

After entering the 2024 season with just six combined starts along its starting offensive line, Notre Dame goes into this season with 53 combined starts. Notre Dame is consistently ranked as a Top 10 national offensive line. Veteran right tackle Aamil Wagner has received preseason All-American honors going into his second season as a starter.

One Notre Dame opponent also ranked in the Top 10, with Texas A&M checking in just one spot below the Irish at No. 8.
