Oregon Ducks hoping to serve as a spoiler for dynamic Southeastern defender, and have massive opportunity in front of them

Head coach Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks staff has really prioritized upgrading the defensive line the last couple of years. That includes via the transfer portal, where the team managed to attract Derrick Harmon and Jamaree Caldwell last offseason. It also includes on the recruiting trail.

For the 2026 recruiting class, the Ducks are busy pushing for an impressive group of standout defensive lineman. That includes Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill defensive tackle Deuce Geralds, who is one of the more impressive interior pass rushers in the entire class. It was announced that Geralds would be taking an official visit to Eugene on June 13-15.

The Georgia native will also be checking out LSU (May 30-June 1), Ole Miss (June 6-8), and Ohio State (June 20-22).

As of today, Oregon is not considered the front runner to Geralds. In fact, there is a strong argument that they could be running fourth currently. With the reach that the Ducks have, as well as the NIL backing, serving as a spoiler isn’t always a bad thing. They have the supports to make an impact with a smaller opportunity.

From a recruiting rankings perspective, Geralds is currently ranked as the No. 73 overall player and No. 9 defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite ranking. That ranking also has Geralds pegged as the No. 8 player in the state of Georgia, and area that develops next level talent as well as anyone.

Outside of his top offers, Geralds has garnered the attention from a long list of prominent programs. Some of his other top offers include Georgia, Notre Dame, Alabama, Michigan, Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Penn State, Miami, Clemson, USC, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Missouri, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisville, Arkansas, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, Mississippi State, NC State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, UNC, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Duke, Kansas, and Cincinnati among others.

Despite being just 6-2 and 265 pounds, Geralds has been a dominate presence for Collins Hill. As a junior, Geralds managed to collect 114 total tackles, 30 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. Geralds also has recorded a forced fumble, blocked a kick, and broke up two passes.
