On Thursday, standout Oregon linebacker Noah Sewell declared for April's NFL Draft via social media.
"My family came to the U.S. more than 10 years ago to follow a dream. Today, I am following a personal dream I have had since I was a child," Sewell's statement read. "I have watched my three older brothers play professionally, and now it is my turn. After three memorable years at Oregon, I am officially declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft."

Sewell, the younger brother of Detroit Lions tackle Penei Sewell, will also forego playing in this month's Holiday Bowl against North Carolina, thus ending his collegiate career.
The six-foot-three, 250-pound linebacker finished second in the Pac-12 last season in tackles (114), adding a forced fumble, an interception and 1.5 sacks over 12 games.
Displaying size, speed and athleticism at Oregon, many believe Sewell worthy of being selected over the first two days of April's draft. James Fragoza of Pro Football Network called Sewell "an increasingly rare LB prospect that can take on offensive linemen and win consistently."
Sewell's traits also make him extremely versatile, as he showed in November when he scored a rushing touchdown for the Ducks against Colorado.

While ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. doesn't have Sewell among his top 25 prospects, he graded the former Oregon star as the fourth-best linebacker in the draft, behind only Trenton Simpson (Clemson), Jack Campbell (Iowa) and Drew Sanders (Arkansas).
Sewell ends his career at Oregon having recorded 218 tackles (20.5 for loss), with 7.5 sacks, two interceptions and three forced fumbles over 33 games.
