OU’s Heath Ozaeta knows the offensive line will play a critical role in the Sooners’ success

Oklahoma’s Heath Ozaeta spoke to the media this week about how he thinks he’s improved and how tough criticism of the offensive line has been.

You’ve gotten a lot more playing time as of late. How do you feel like you've improved by getting those reps in the game?

Heath: I mean, you can't really match experience on the field with 8,000 people around yelling at you. I think that I have definitely improved a lot from when I first started getting meaningful reps to now.

As a young guy, is it good to see another young guy like Xavier Robinson go out and do what he did?

Heath: I just love my teammates. I love seeing them succeed and so seeing X go out there and just run through people just gets me fired up. The more reps you get, the more starts you get, you see yourself getting better.

How tough has it been to hear some of the criticism that the offensive line has gotten throughout the season?

Heath: I really believe in my coach and my guys so it's just a thing you’ve got to flush out. You can't really listen to other people. I mean all that really matters is what Coach is telling us so that's kind of what we've all been focusing on.
