No. 1 Oregon will face No. 8 Ohio State in a College Football Playoff quarterfinal game at the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
The Ducks earned a first-round bye in the playoff while the Buckeyes are coming off an impressive 42-17 win over No. 7 Tennessee on Saturday. If Ohio State continues that level of play throughout the playoff they'll be tough to beat.
FanDuel's latest odds seem to agree. Even though the Ducks are the only remaining undefeated team and own the No. 1 seed, Ohio State is viewed as the slight 2.5-point favorite in this matchup. The over/under is set at 52.5 points.
The two teams met earlier this season on Oct. 12 where Oregon defeated Ohio State by one point, 32-31. Heisman finalist Dillon Gabriel threw for 341 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Kickoff for Oregon vs. Ohio State is set for 4 p.m. CT on Jan. 1 and will be televised on ESPN. The winner will advance to the semifinals to face the winner of Texas/Arizona State.
Other betting favorites in the College Football Playoff include No. 5 Texas (-13.5) over No. 4 Arizona State, No. 6 Penn State (-11.5) over No. 3 Boise State and No. 2 Georgia (-2.5) over No. 7 Notre Dame.
