Opposing defenses need to avoid calling a certain USC Trojans commit small this season.

Four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux of Oaks Christian High in Westlake Village, Ca., looks nothing like a small back. Even after playing at 160 and 180 pounds in the past.

The Class of 2026 commit Redeaux revealed where he's at now frame wise. He spoke exclusively one-on-one with Athlon Sports during the Marmonte League Media Day near the Oaks Christian campus.

"I'll say I'm about 200 pounds," Redeaux said smiling.

Redeaux wore down defenses off elusiveness and speed. Especially hitting a second gear that dusted linebackers and defensive backs. He's entering his senior campaign at the Southern California powerhouse with 25 career touchdowns per MaxPreps.

So how did Redeaux transform his body?

"I've been taking the weight room serious," Redeaux said.

It's not short workouts Redeaux is doing either.

"[I'm] having like three workouts a day, including a workout on my own," Redeaux revealed.

One workout involves running on beach sand. Redeaux goes barefoot sprinting up and down an uphill climb as ocean waves crash in the background. He's also wrapped his shoulders around with a workout chain while performing dips -- handing him resistance to his biceps, triceps and back while trusting his upper body.

The Lions have turned to Redeaux for three varsity seasons. He's one of the few RBs to average more than seven yards a carry in all of his years playing at the highest level of prep football.

Redeaux has pulled off the average facing a fierce gauntlet too. He's ran against Trinity League foes during Oaks Christian's non-league slate. Then he goes toe-to-toe against teams cluttered with future Power Conference talent in league play. As the Marmonte features teams that produced college football and even future NFL talent.

The Lions star became a hard commit for USC on April 5. Even famed Trojans fan Snoop Dogg helped impact his decision to join USC.

Redeaux looks like he'll unveil new power to his ground game this fall. Which will generate excitement for his future head coach at USC Lincoln Riley. As well as Redeaux's primary recruiter, RB coach Anthony Jones Jr.
