It probably shouldn't have been that big of a shock when Arkansas Razorbacks kicker Cam Little put out a post on X he is declaring for the NFL Draft. He's been so consistent, fans and even coaches at times probably took him for granted. That's what usually happens with great kickers.

Now Sam Pittman has another thing to worry about. Little started for the Hogs in all three of his seasons in Fayetteville, and played in all 38 games. He was 20 for 24 on field goals this past season (83.3%), and 53 for 64 on his career (82.8%). He ended his collegiate career a perfect 129/129 on extra points.

His career has progressed over the three years, especially the distance to the point where crossing midfield changed the approach of a guaranteed three points. Or at least about as close to that as you get with a kicker.

Little started making donations for every kick to Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas and that's increased over his time as NIL became a standard in college sports. That will probably continue if he makes an NFL roster.

Behind him on the depth chart this year was redshirt freshman kicker Blake Ford from Arlington (Lamar), Texas. He is rated a six-star prospect by Chris Sailer kicking, but hasn't gotten on the field with the Razorbacks. Until they kick in a game, though, you don't really know.
