The Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers mixed scrimmage this week provided an opportunity for two former Colorado Buffaloes players to be on the field together once again. But this time they are on opposite teams.
Jimmy Horn Jr. and Shedeur Sanders had a moment before practice to check on each other. The NFL Buffs are going through the grinds of summer camp with the hopes of making their respective teams.
They were both sporting original Diamond Turf cleats, paying homage to their coach, Deion Sanders, on the field. Horn and Sanders showed each other that "brotherly love" from having been in the trenches together.
Shedeur Sanders told his former teammate don’t take it personal for what he is going to do with his Browns offense against the Panthers' defense. Horn is becoming known as the receiver defensive backs are having a hard time covering. He knows first hand what his former quarterback can do on the field like a maestro leading a 100 piece orchestra.
We will soon see how well Sanders has prepared himself for the bright lights without his father guiding his journey. He's built for this moment and will get his 'Welcome to the NFL' moment under the lights of Bank of America stadium in Charlotte.
For both Sanders and Horn, Buffs fans can get ready to see these two young men put on a show on Friday night (7 p.m. ET on NFL Network).
