Another one of the Texas Longhorns' most dangerous offensive weapons is reportedly league bound.

After running back Jaydon Blue announced his decision to forgo the rest of his college eligibility and enter the 2025 NFL Draft, wide receiver Matthew Golden has elected to do the same.

Per ESPN: "Breaking: Matthew Golden, Texas' leading wide receiver in 2024, is leaving school early and declaring for the NFL draft, sources told @PeteThamel."

Golden recorded 58 catches for team-high 987 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior in 2024 — stepping into that lead receiver role for Steve Sarkisian's team.

The Houston native's production was a big reason why the Longhorns' offense was so dangerous and his 17 yards per catch made him a gamebreaker alongside Ryan Wingo and Isaiah Bond.

Golden recorded just two catches for 51 yards in Texas' Cotton Bowl loss to Ohio State last week after missing some time with injury. Those 51 yards were second-most for the Horns behind Blue and his 59 with a pair of scores.

The 6-foot, 195-pound WR transferred in from UH in December of 2023 and quickly made his presence felt in Austin. Now he'll be hoping to do the same for a team in the National Football League next fall.

Kelvin Banks Jr. is another Longhorns player headed to Green Bay for the draft. He's widely-considered the best offensive tackle prospect in this year's class and should be one of the first 5-10 names off the board come April 24.
