Several Longhorns have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after No. 5 Texas suffered a heartbreaking loss to No. 8 Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

As of Tuesday, over a dozen Texas players have officially declared for the NFL Draft. While a few players have yet to make a decision, such as Michael Taaffe and Trey Moore, the group that has declared is loaded with talent.

The latest to announce is one of Texas' top players from the 2024 season. Tight end Gunnar Helm announced via social media on Tuesday that he will be entering the 2025 NFL Draft. "To coach Sark and coach Banks, thank you for your mentorship and for allowing me to represent this incredible program," Helm said in the announcement. "This is just the beginning, and I'm excited for what's next. Thank you, Texas, for the memories. Hook 'em!"

Helm was Texas' leading pass-catcher in 2024. He totaled 60 receptions for 786 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 13.1 yards per catch.

With starting wide receivers Matthew Golden and Isaiah Bond also declaring for the NFL Draft, Texas will have to replace a chunk of production in the receiving game.
