Texas Longhorns linebacker Jake Ehlinger, younger brother of new Indianapolis Colts quarterback Sam Ehlinger, was found dead off campus on Thursday.
According to the Austin American-Statesman , Austin police found Jake Ehlinger early in the afternoon. No cause of death has been announced, but police say his passing is not considered suspicious.
Jake Ehlinger joined the Longhorns in 2019 and was twice named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, but he did not play in his two seasons with the program. Per CBS Austin, Jake was in attendance when the Colts drafted Sam on Saturday.

Ross Ehlinger, father to Sam and Jake, died of a heart attack in the San Francisco Bay during the swim portion of a triathlon in 2013 at the age of 46.
Sam Ehlinger already lost his dad. Now his younger brother. Can't even imagine the pain that family is dealing with right now, just a few days after they were all celebrating Sam getting drafted by the Colts. https://t.co/RmP1J9bbyj
