Texas offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr. has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, just two days after the Longhorns fell, 28-14 to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl.

He had originally said after the game that he was undecided on going into the NFL Draft. Banks took to social media with the announcement, thanking the fan base, his teammates and his coaches for his experience at Texas.

Banks is expected to be a first-round pick when the Draft kicks off in April, so it is now a surprise that he made this decision. He also is not the only Texas native from the Longhorns to declare for the Draft, joining running back Jaydon Blue.

He enters the NFL coming off of a phenomenal season, twice named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, also winning both the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy.
