Following back-to-back College Football Playoff semifinal appearances, the Texas Longhorns find themselves in the middle of a reload situation ahead of 2025.

The Longhorns are tasked with replacing four of their five starting offensive linemen, two out of their three wide receivers, two key secondary pieces and a chunk of defensive linemen. There's a lot of talent to replace, but the program brought in the No. 1 recruiting class in 2025, an elite transfer class and also has stellar youngsters ready and waiting for their shot from previous top-five classes.

Two of those focal points of the program that are expected to be team leaders next season are EDGE Colin Simmons, and quarterback Arch Manning. Simmons, who was a Freshman All-American this past season after posting nine sacks, took to social media to share some photos from spring ball, and also used it as an opportunity to hype up fans about Manning.

"Another day at work 16," Simmons wrote to Manning.

After sitting behind Quinn Ewers for two seasons, head coach Steve Sarkisian announced Manning as the starter earlier this offseason.

The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning started two games in 2024 for Texas, leading them to blowout wins in both. He later was tasked with being the team's wildcat quarterback in short-yardage situations, as they often struggled in the red area.

On the year, Manning threw for 939 yards with nine touchdowns, while also rushing for 108 yards and four additional scores. He and the new-look Longhorns open the season in 2025 against the team that ended their season in 2024, in the defending-champion Ohio State Buckeyes
