On Sunday, Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders added a new name to the Class of 2026 with the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Jacob Crow.
Crow, a 6-foot-8 tackle from Alcoa, Tennessee, chose the Red Raiders over offers from 31 different programs, including Virginia Tech, Memphis, Toledo, Northwestern, and more.

“All glory to God,” Crow wrote on X. “I’m 100% committed to Texas Tech Football! Looking forward to being back officially as a Red Raider!!”
Coming out of Alcoa High School in the Class of 2026, Crow is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. He also checks in as the 84th-ranked player at his position and the 24th-ranked player in the state of Tennessee.
With his commitment, Crow became the Red Raiders’ 11th addition to the Class of 2026, joining a cast of talented prospects. He’s just the second addition on the offensive line, joining three-star IOL Jerald Mays.
Texas Tech is coming off an incredible offseason that ended with the Red Raiders dominating the transfer portal. They added several difference-makers and have parlayed that momentum into a hot start in the Class of 2026.
They check in as the nation’s 35th-best recruiting class and the Big 12’s fifth-best class.
