On September 8, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders took to his Instagram to share some strong words. This post came after his son, Shilo Sanders, was ejected from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and labeled a ‘fool’ by media outlets after the whole Travis Kelce-Teair Tart incident. Deion’s post read,
“Why do u argue with SMALL minded people? These folks have limits, always complain & consistently play the victim. Keep on thinking the way u do and keep on doing the things u do. You’re a blessing to many & you’re needed, wanted & valued. #CoachPrime”
He then added a caption,
“You are the 1, the blessing & the Promise. You’ve got to believe baby. #CoachPrime”

Marca.com posted a report on September 7, saying Shilo Sanders might feel like a “fool.” This backlash stemmed from comparisons to the Sept. 6 Chiefs-Chargers clash in São Paulo, where officials only flagged Tart for unnecessary roughness after striking Kelce across the facemask.
KC lost 27-21 as Justin Herbert threw for 318 yards and three TDs, while Kelce finished with just two receptions, including a 37-yard score.
If you ask me, yes. Shilo Sanders was kind of treated too harshly. Right now, the contrasting outcomes of two recent incidents are sparking debate about NFL discipline. In a Buccaneers preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, defensive back Shilo Sanders was ejected for swinging at TE Zach Davidson after being held beyond the play. Officials removed him immediately.
Head coach Todd Bowles condemned the act as unacceptable.
“Throwing punches has no place in the game,” Bowles said after the game.
Within 24 hours, Tampa Bay released Sanders during final roster cuts, and the NFL fined him $4,669 for the altercation. For an undrafted player, the sequence put his professional career in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Teair Tart stayed. And this disparity has fueled perceptions that Sanders was treated far more harshly.
