One of the top transfer players in college football is off the board following his commitment to an SEC program on Tuesday.

Running back Rahsul Faison (5-foot-11, 200 pounds) spent the last two seasons at Utah State where he left a major mark for the Aggies. Faison broke out as a senior in 2024, totaling 1,109 yards on 198 carries (5.6-yard average) with eight touchdowns.

Faison briefly entered the transfer portal in the spring of last year before deciding to return to Utah State. And after his stellar play this season, Faison will ultimately transfer and finish his career with the South Carolina Gamecocks

The Pottstown, Pennsylvania, native is rated as the No. 4 transfer running back, according to 247Sports. He committed to head coach Shane Beamer's Gamecocks on Tuesday, according to On3

Faison, who was unranked coming out of Pottsgrove High School (Pa.), has had a unique path to this point. He began his career at the JUCO level with Lackawanna College in 2020 before transferring to Marshall in 2021.

After not appearing in any games over hist first two seasons, Faison returned to the JUCO ranks with Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He rushed for 355 yards on 88 carries (4.0-yard average) and six touchdowns and elected to join the Aggies in 2023.

South Carolina, who finished at 9-4 this season, will look differently at the position in 2025 with starter Rocket Sanders off to the NFL draft. Faison brings over 2,000 career rushing yards and 19 touchdowns to a group that will also feature Oscar Adaway III, Jawarn Howell and Matthew Fuller.

The Gamecocks will open the 2025 season on Aug. 31 against Virginia Tech in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
