USC Brings Out 2 Legends to Win Over 4-Star Commit

The USC Trojans pull out any kind of stop to grab a high-profile recruit's attention. Selling the glitz and glamour part of Los Angeles is one big sale. But so is bringing out two legendary Trojans -- which a four-star verbal commit experienced on his recent visit.

Luc Weaver of Notre Dame High School of Sherman Oaks officially visited USC during the weekend of June 13. The wide receiver then got the chance to interact with two revered Trojans while on his visit: Ronnie Lott and Marcus Allen.

Weaver himself posted how great it was to meet the two Pro Football Hall of Famers and iconic USC standouts. He shared a picture with the legends on his X page

USC, like many national powerhouses, has attempted to bring out revered past players to help win over recruits. Head coach Lincoln Riley has made this tactic a stronger priority in trying to enhance his own relationship with USC.

Weaver, meanwhile, helped solidify USC's 2026 class. He's among the four-stars who elevated the No. 1 ranking.

The 6-foot-3 Weaver is fresh off racking up 1,402 total yards of offense. He caught 53 passes for 1,024 yards and 10 touchdowns. Weaver also stars in basketball and track and field at the private school.

Weaver officially pulled in his USC offer on April 24. The offer arrived during a spring visit to the campus. Wide receivers coaches Chad Savage and Dennis Simmons formally offered Weaver. Weaver chose USC on May 3 and remains a hard commit. His visit with Allen and Lott likely only strengthened his commitment to USC.

Weaver is the state of California's 31st-ranked prospect by 247Sports composite.
