This Saturday's slate of college football gave us the best of punts, and it gave us the worst of punts.
While Georgia's Brett Thorson was booming a perfectly placed 75-yard punt against the Tennessee Volunteers , Pitt's Cam Guess did whatever the opposite of that is when he managed to get off this two yard (yes, two yard) punt against the Syracuse Orange.
No, it was not blocked.
It was just this.

The bad snap did not help things and almost certainly forced Guess to rush the kicking process, but that is about as bad of a punt as you are going to see at that level.
Pitt was only up 17-6 at the time and it gave Syracuse outstanding field position with a chance to get back in the game.
Fortunately for Pitt, it held Syracuse's offense to a three-and-out and forced a missed field goal to maintain its two-score lead.
Pitt used three punters in Saturday's game (Caleb Junko and Sam Vander Haar were the other two) with Guess kicking three times. His other two netted a much more respectable 78 yards. The two-yard punt is the one we will remember though.
