In Charlottesville, the Virginia Cavaliers moved to 3-1 after a 48-20 victory over the Cardinal. It was the first-ever meeting between Stanford and UVA. Virginia jumped out to a fast 28-7 start with quarterback Chandler Morris hitting wide receiver Trell Harris for three touchdowns. Morris was 23-31 for 380 yards and four touchdowns, plus he had 19 rushing yards and another touchdown. Harris caught four passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns. J'Mari Taylor ran for 85 yards, and Cam Ross had 88 receiving yards. Stanford quarterback Ben Gullbranson had 286 yards and two touchdowns on 20-29 passing. Wide receiver Bryce Farrell had four receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown.
