What to Watch for

The Tide and the Bulldogs haven't faced off in the regular season since 2020, a contest where Alabama dominated at home, winning 41-24 over the Dawgs.

Alabama is hoping to mirror that same result come Saturday, but this is a very different Georgia team. Now, one could argue that Alabama has the upper hand, winning the SEC championship less than a year ago in Atlanta.

But these are very different teams compared to last December.

And while both teams are undefeated and boast signal callers who could be among the top QBs selected in April, Georgia's last outing was a stark contrast to that of the Tide.

Alabama went into Camp Randall and took care of business against Wisconsin, while Georgia struggled to escape Lexington with a win over the Kentucky Wildcats.

As Kirby Smart said last week, Georgia hadn't started prep for Alabama, but he and the rest of the staff were very familiar with Ryan Williams, who will need a big game for the Tide to pull off the upset.

So while it's going to be a football game down south, the chess match between Kalen DeBoer and Kirby Smart is a game within a game that will determine the outcome.
