Shedeur Sanders' wait is finally over. The Colorado Buffaloes QB was taken with the No. 144 pick by the Cleveland Brown in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Nobody expected 'Grown' to drop this far but found his NFL home. He was expected to be a first-rounder, but he got to hear his name early in the fifth round. Sanders celebrated with his close friends and family, including his mom, Pilar Sanders, who was all smiles. But where was Deion at when his son received the news?
The Colorado coach couldn't be found in the video and everyone on social media is wondering why?

Sanders dropped out of the fourth round after being projected as the top overall pick at the end of the 2024 season. One of the most shocking developments during this year's draft with Shedeur getting passed over.
Sanders won the Johnny Unitas award as one of the top quarterbacks in college football in 2024, when he was named first-team All-American by multiple publications and second-team by the AP. He was the unanimous choice for the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and named first-team All-Big 12 by all the publications that picked the team.

Sanders threw for 4,134 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions with an NFL QB rating of 117.0 and college passer rating of 165.9. He threw a touchdown in an NCAA Division I record 49 straight games and is only one of two D1 quarterbacks to throw for 14,000 yards and complete 70 percent of his career passes between Colorado and Jackson State.
Despite only playing two seasons in Boulder, he owns over 100 school records including career passing touchdowns, passer rating and completion percentage, the top two passing seasons for completion percentage and QB rating and two of the top three for passing yards, touchdowns, interception percentage, 300-yard games and games with 3-plus touchdown passes.
Sanders becomes the second Colorado player off the board. The Buffs two-way Heisman Travis Hunter went No. 2 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. We'll see if any of Travis and Shedeur teammates will come off the board in the final three rounds.
