Alabama football is set to have a smaller recruiting class during the 2027 recruiting cycle, according to Kalen DeBoer.
The Crimson Tide currently holds commitments from six 2027 prospects with pledges from Elijah Haven, Trent Seaborn, Kenneth Simon, Avrian Pauley, Stevan Thornton and Oakley Keegan. After signing 27 prospects during the 2026 cycle, the Tide is aiming to land a smaller group during the current recruiting cycle.
“I think just when it comes to the recruiting… These young guys that I’m referring to in the first two classes, they’ve kind of stayed the course and believe in what we’re doing, what we’re building,” DeBoer said. “We got to find the next group. That won’t be a big group this fall, I think it will be much less than what we’ve had the last two seasons, but a lot of that’s because we have retained well and brought in a group of transfers and don’t have many seniors.”
Alabama is expected to have a young team this upcoming season without many seniors. There is a possibility the Tide’s starting offense does not include a senior or redshirt senior.
The Tide is set to host its first group of official visitors this weekend. Five-star wide receiver and the nation’s No. 1 wideout Monshun Sales headlines this group. Pauley and Simon are also expected to be on campus.
