WVU has utilized their tight ends in the passing games more times than recent memory can bring, and signee Jackson Accuardi hopes to continue that brand of football by signing his National Letter of Intent to WVU.

Jackson Accuardo joins the Mountaineers from De Forest, Wisconsin, playing his high school ball at DeForest High School.  He is a consensus three-star recruit across the board, gaining an 86 grade from both On3 and 247Sports.  Both recruiting boards have him rated as the 12th overall recruit in the state of Wisconsin, with Rivals rating him as the 8th best recruit from the badge state.

WVU has seen consistent success from their tight ends in recent years, from NFL-caliber tight end, Trevon Wesco, to current senior and LSU transfer tight end, Kole Taylor.

The new era of WVU football has had more success in utilizing the tight end position than in recent history, and Accuardi hopes to continue the success. Accuardi is also a member of his high school’s basketball team, showcasing his athleticism and versatility while standing at 6-foot-7, 225 pounds.

Power 4 teams were all over Accuardi during his recruiting process, gaining his first offer from Illinois University early in May 2023.  The Mountaineers entered the picture in November 2023 extending an offer to Accuardi.  He committed to WVU on April 27, 2024, and WVU got him to campus for an official visit on May 31st of this year.

The tight end held other offers from Missouri, Michigan State, Louisville, Iowa State, Indiana, Illinois, Duke, and Colorado.
