The Women's Premier League 2026 started off on a good note on February 09. Mumbai Indians started the League as two-time champions, facing the 2024 winner, Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

Notably, Delhi Capitals are yet to win a trophy in the Women's Premier League despite being a finalist three times. This time they will try to spin their web to lift the title as they did in the International League T20. 

Well, how much will the winner of the league get? Here is a detailed analysis of the prize money awarded by BCCI to the winners and runners up and others in the Women's Premier League.

Prize money for winners and runners-up

The winning team of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 will pocket a prize money of ₹6 crore, while the runners-up will earn ₹3 crore. The payout structure remains the same as previous seasons. Mumbai Indians have lifted the trophy twice and received the full prize amount on both occasions, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured ₹6 crore following their maiden title triumph last season.

Individual awards and bonuses

Apart from team rewards, the league will also recognize top individual performers with cash incentives. The Orange Cap holder, Purple Cap winner, and the Player of the Tournament will each be awarded ₹5 lakh. Additionally, the batter with the most sixes and the player with the best strike rate in the tournament will also receive ₹5 lakh each.

Match awards

The Player of the Match in the WPL 2026 final will be rewarded with ₹2.5 lakh. For all other matches in the competition, the Player of the Match award will carry a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.

Broadcast and venues

All WPL 2026 matches will be telecast live on the Star Sports Network, while live streaming will be available on the Jio Hotstar application. The tournament will be hosted across two venues, with the first 11 matches scheduled in Mumbai and the remaining 11 fixtures set to be played in Baroda.
