Australia were 7 for 76 against Pakistan, but Beth Mooney’s hundred rescued the reigning world champions and took the score to 221/9 runs in 50 overs. Despite losing partners from the other end, the veteran batted with full authority to keep the Women in Green under pressure.

She added 39 runs with Kim Garth to take the score to 115/8 and then found a trusted teammate in Alana King. The two stitched a partnership of 106 runs. Mooney accumulated 109 runs off 114 balls, laced with 11 fours. On the other hand, Alana managed an unbeaten 51 runs off 49 deliveries, with the help of 3 boundaries and 3 sixes.

Nashra Sandhu was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets and conceding 37 runs from 10 overs. Rameen Shamim dismissed two batters and gave away 29 runs from 60 balls.
