Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Chennai Super Kings in Match No. 37 of the Indian Premier League 2026. The game will start at 03:30 pm IST.

Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning

"We will bowl first. It looks like a good wicket. It is good to have a total on the board. The breeze is there, and hopefully, it will not be tough for our bowlers. We have been doing things right, but need a bit of improvement in the bowling department. It is important to play according to the conditions," Shubman Gill said.

CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is ready to bat first.

"The wicket will remain the same, so I don't mind batting first and then defending the total. We have to access the pitches and then defend accordingly. There are a few areas where we need to fire. I am getting starts but I am not able to convert it. It doesn't happen regularly, but others are chipping in," he said.
