The India vs Pakistan match in the ICC Women’s World Cup was stopped due to mosquitoes. The Women in Blue were 154/4 in 34 overs when the umpires told the players to leave the field for bug fumigation.

The players from both teams were unable to concentrate due to the presence of mosquitoes, and they were seen using sprays, but it did not solve the problem, forcing the officials to take a call on stopping the contest.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and invited India to bat first. All the Indian batters got starts but couldn’t reach the fifty-run mark. Smriti Mandhana, the opening batter, amassed 23 off 32 deliveries, laced with 4 boundaries. Mandhana’s opening partner, Pratika Rawal, managed 31 runs off 37 deliveries.

Harleel Doel was the best of the lot before she was dismissed on an individual score of 46. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur posted 19.

Jemimah Rodrigues was 28 when the game was stopped. Sadia Iqbal, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, and Rameen Shamim took one wicket each.
