Kamran Akmal has urged the PCB to terminate its cricketing ties with the BCCI and India promptly. India secured three victories over Pakistan in the 2025 Asia Cup.

He called for a boycott of India after they declined to shake hands with the Pakistan team before and after all three of their matches, and also refused to receive the trophy from the ACC and PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi following their victory in the final. He encouraged other cricketing authorities to consider his viewpoint.

“The Pakistan board should declare that we should never play against India. Then let’s see how the ICC responds. What more proof is required? But since a BCCI representative heads the ICC, how can Jay Shah act? Other boards must unite and say such things don’t belong in cricket. The game doesn’t belong to one country, and if others refuse to play them, the money will stop flowing,” Akmal said on ARY News.

“The sooner these issues are addressed, the better it will be for everyone. A neutral committee should be formed, excluding Pakistan and India, consisting of Australians, South Africans, and New Zealanders, to decide on the appropriate course of action regarding everything that has transpired in this tournament,” he added.

He also spoke out against the tactics of the Indian team.

“These cheap harkatein (actions) from India will continue. We’ve witnessed in this tournament how much damage they’ve done to cricket. The PCB and ACC president made the right decision, whether the trophy is awarded or not, it will be decided by the president alone,” Akmal concluded.
