The Pakistan Super League 2026 season has passed its halfway stage and the play-off spots are tightening up, with eight teams battling it out but only four sides earning a place in the knock-out stage. The final will be played on the 3rd of May at Gaddafi Stadium. Some teams have already put themselves in very healthy positions while some are struggling under immense pressure to win all of their final matches and every match from now on in will be crucial in determining the top four.
Peshawar Zalmi have an exceptionally strong position at the top of the table with 13 points. They only need one more win from their final three matches and they'll be guaranteed a play-off position.
Islamabad United also have had some good form with three victories from four matches and only need two more wins to guarantee their spot while three wins will surely put them further up the table.
Multan Sultans lie in third place after winning only two from their final four matches. The side need two wins from their final few games, a win and then the deciding factor will surely be net run rate.
Quetta Gladiators are off to a good start with 3 wins in 3 matches, but would have to win every one of the remaining matches to survive. However, even with 2 wins it could be sufficient but run-rate would matter then.
Hyderabad Kingsmen at 5th place need to win their 3 games to remain alive in the playoff race.
Karachi Kings currently having a win-loss ratio of 3-3 need to win their next 3 matches to have good chance of making it to the next stage.
Lahore Qalandars are having a dismal season having only two wins out of six matches. They will have to win all their four remaining games to give themselves an outside chance.
Rawalpindiz currently sit at the bottom having lost all their 6 matches. They will have to win all remaining games but their survival would also depend on how other teams perform.
