SRH vs RR Match 21: Key player battles to watch out for in IPL 2026

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will clash with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 21st match of IPL 2026, set to take place on April 13 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

While Rajasthan Royals have made a perfect start to the season with victories in all four of their matches, SRH have struggled, managing just a single win in three games so far. 

Fans will be keenly watching some intriguing individual battles that could influence the outcome.

Abhishek Sharma vs Jofra Archer

Abhishek Sharma impressed everyone with a whirlwind 74 off 28 balls against Punjab Kings in his last outing. The southpaw will be eager to replicate his form against RR. Sharma’s first challenge will come in the powerplay against Rajasthan’s fast bowling spearhead, Jofra Archer. Despite  Jofra Archer’s strong performances with the new ball this season, he has conceded 62 runs in 34 balls against Sharma in T20 cricket and has yet to claim his wicket.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi vs Jaydev Unadkat

RR’s sensational young opener, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, has stunned spectators with his explosive batting. In just four innings this season, the 15-year-old has already notched two fifties, each coming off just 15 balls. He faces veteran left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat in the early overs. While Sooryavanshi’s strike rate is an astonishing 266.67 in IPL 2026, Unadkat has maintained a powerplay economy of 11.85 while taking two wickets.

Heinrich Klaasen vs Ravi Bishnoi

Heinrich Klaasen has shown stellar batting this season, accumulating 184 runs at a 46 average. Famous for punishing spin in the middle overs, his matchup with leg-spinner Bishnoi looks intriguing. Klaasen has previously scored 36 off 22 balls against Ravi Bishnoi in T20s without falling, though Bishnoi has been in top form this season with nine wickets at 12.67.
