From India A’s point of view, the biggest positive was Tilak Varma’s return from injury, as he struck a brisk 38 off 24 balls to tune up for the T20 World Cup 2026, which begins on February 7. Narayan Jagadeesan led the scoring with a superb 104, while captain Ayush Badoni chipped in with an unbeaten 60.

Meanwhile, defending champions India will begin their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against the same opponents on February 7 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

USA Advance To Super 8 Of T20 World Cup 2024

Meanwhile, the USA enjoyed a memorable run at the T20 World Cup 2024, reaching the Super 8 stage in their maiden appearance at the tournament. During the group phase, they produced a major upset by defeating 2009 champions Pakistan in a tense Super Over finish.

With the United States set to face Pakistan again in the group stage this year, they will be eager to recreate that success. However, the USA went winless in the Super 8s, suffering defeats against South Africa, West Indies and England.

Led by Monank Patel, the side has been placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, Namibia and the Netherlands. The United States will play their second and final warm-up match against New Zealand on Thursday, February 5, in Mumbai.
