Sanju Samson's hundred was the difference in the MI vs CSK match in IPL 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium. CSK registered a 103-run win after dismissing MI for 104 in 19 overs in a 208-run chase. Earlier, Samson amassed 101 not out in 54 deliveries, including 10 boundaries and 6 maximums. He didn't get support from the other end but stayed in the middle till the last over of the innings to take the score to 207 for 6.

Sanju Samson was named the Player of the Match for his second hundred of the 19th season.
With their third win, CSK have taken their points tally to 6 after 7 matches and are fifth in the standings. Mumbai, who suffered their fifth loss, have dropped down to eighth place.
