Gerwyn Price calls facing Luke Littler 'a blessing in disguise', ready for Premier League Darts play-offs title tilt

Gerwyn Price insisted that he wanted to face the favourite for the title and the poster boy of the Premier League Darts finals night in Luke Littler as he heads towards The O2 full of confidence

Price ruled out going too far in terms of seeing a win tomorrow night as a springboard for the rest of the year. He said that his focus is only The O2 as he aims to tick off the weekly roadshow from his resume.

"I wanted a break before the final just to chill out. For me, I wanted to win last week but if I didn't I preferred finishing fourth so it was a blessing in disguise," said Littler as per Tungsten Tales.

"It's all on tomorrow night. I'm not worried about the rest of the year just fully focused on my first game tomorrow and then if I get through that one look forward to the final. But doesn't matter if you play rubbish the rest of the year, just tomorrow night is my main focus."

He also faced doubts when it came to his inclusion and while he refused to say it was a middle finger to those people, he said that it could be him and Aspinall in the final anyway.

"People deserved to doubt the fact me and Nathan should've been in. I wasn't in the best of form. Nathan wasn't either. I'm just glad I proved to myself that I've still got the game in me. When I'm positive and in the right frame of mind I can beat anyone and I can still play to the high standards I know I can. On the otherhand, me and Nathan the doubters said we shouldn't have been in there. We could be the two in the final."

He added that he needs that added pressure in order to perform. Something he is open that he doesn't get from ProTours and European Tours. The proof will be in the pudding no doubt against Littler.

"I need that added pressure, I need that added energy. The feeling of the big games. That's when I find my best stuff. I know I will be fully focused tomorrow and giving it 110%. I will perform better tomorrow night than I have all the way through this Premier League."

"I don't feel pressure at all, that's the good thing about the last couple of years whether it is semi-finals, finals, big majors. I don't really feel the pressure.
