On Thursday night we saw Luke Humphries win his first Premier League title as he beat Luke Littler. But throughout the competition we also saw many records being broken. These records were; the most tour tickets sold, the most tickets sold at the O2 final and the highest ever audience reached on Sky Sports.

The Premier League of Darts goes on for 17 back to back weeks when we see the best 8 players go against each other in a group faze. The best four go and play at the O2 and this year it was Humphries who came out on top.

Throughout the competitions each week is in a different venue. The venues go across Europe with England hosing the most. The O2 final had 14,000 fans in attendance, which is over 10,000 more fans than Alexandra Place for the World Championship final.

It wasn't just the audience that helped break records, Luke Littler managed to break one himself, he won the most nightly wins in the competition. But even though he dominated the group faze he couldn't come up on top when he played his England team mate.

The eight players who featured in this year tournament were, Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Stephen Bunting, Chris Dobey, Michael Van Gerwen and Rob Cross. The first four were the players who reached the final.

This year we have seen the audience increase but darts is growing massively, will we see more records broken next year and who will the eight players be.
