The pairings have been confirmed for the World Cup of Darts following the recent cutoff which will take place between June 12-15. Reigning champions England will also have a new pairing but one that changes slightly for 2025.
Luke Littler will make his long awaited debut after much debate was made last year about 'The Nuke' not being included despite him not being in line due to the rankings. But he will this year as he teams with Luke Humphries who won the title with Michael Smith last year.
They beat the Austrian pairing of Mensur Suljovic and Rowby-John Rodriguez but it will be the younger Rodriguez this year in Rusty-Jake who will partner 'The Gentle'.
England are top seeds and are joined by Wales who lifted the title twice together in 2020 and 2023 with the incredible team of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton set to revive their partnership. As will Gary Anderson and Peter Wright for Scotland.
But danger perhaps could come with Northern Ireland as fourth seeds featuring Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney. Mike de Decker will break up the team of Kim Huybrechts and Dimitri van den Bergh, long stalwarts of this event together despite their initial differences last year. Van den Bergh as of now at least will play despite his recent absence from the tour.
While Michael van Gerwen as was exclusively confirmed by DartsNews.com won't play at the World Cup of Darts. He has been replaced by Gian van Veen in the line-up who will make his bow alongside Danny Noppert.
Germany will also have a new-look side with European Tour lynchpin, Martin Schindler aiming to take his form from these events onto the World Cup stage alongside fellow winner, Ricardo Pietreczko as Gabriel Clemens exits.
Other teams include Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock for Australia. The latter lost his tour card but will return to the event still in 2025. Devon Petersen also returns alongside Cameron Carolissen for South Africa. While legendary Paul Lim will this year team with Phuay Wei Tan breaking up Singapore's dangerous pairing with Harith Lim.
